my explorer crashing

    my internet explorer is crashing whenever i open it,
    also yahoo messenger crashed, what could be the issue ?

    First you should try FireFox or Opera. Second you should use a antivirus to check for viruses. :D

    That hasnt happened to me in years, and when it did before, it had something to do with my fan, so it could be a whole variety of issues im afraid.

    If you can get to the internet options page under tools>internet options>programs click on the manage addons and disable everything that is not verified as coming from microsoft.

    There are a couple of malwares loading from sites hiding out in this section.

    Go ahead and clear the cache while you are there and it might work after a reboot.

    Check the homepage.. maybe the homepage its set to is giving it problems.
