Guys i am thinking to sell my blog/website, it is a new one so PR is Zero, it has about 1500 page views a day. alexa rank 200,000 can any one tell me how can i calculate the worth of my blog? my blog: zeglist.com
It's worth whatever you can get for it. There are ways to work out supposed value according to how much revenue it generates but it's all for peanuts sites with little value (like under a £1000) mainly. I am sure others can tell you more about such things as there are many domain flippers about on here... PS Alexa rank is meaningless to anyone with a brain that works correctly btw
You can also try one of these:::: to find the importance of your site before selling.. hrefs.com majesticseo.com stuffgate.com hope it helps cheers
Check out this guide for info, Generally the best way to figure what your site is worth is by finding some similar sites on flippa and checking what they sold for. You can do a search there based on niche, traffic, revenue etc. Does your site make revenue? Is there much organic traffic?
To get a decent idea of what your site is worth. Your monthly profit x 12. That will give you a decent idea.
Hi Hi Steve, The answer will be only suitable for established websites. starting up website we can't judge the search engines ranking and visitors traffic. some time it will get good search volume more than established websites
I did some research on this topic by following existing website sales on Flippa. I created a spreadsheet and inputted the actual sales price, the stated revenue (I annualized and adjusted based on common sense and my opinion....I threw out really weird months, etc.)...I then calculated a rate of return...and I think 8-10 months of reliable, proven revenue to be a fair price. Now that is just my opinion and you can ask for whatever price you want...but, I am the kind of guy that I would never pay someone else for what a site MIGHT do in the future.....why pay someone for work you will have to do to get it to a higher level.... anyways, that is just a revenue approach...you can also look at it from an asset point of view like the domain name, technology you are getting, inventory, etc. just my 2 cents.
If buying a site I either go with the "12 X monthly earnings" method already mentioned, or I multiply the number of daily uniques by 365 and divide by one thousand (N.B. UNIQUES not page views - counting page views is about as much use as counting the ducks on your wallpaper). In other words, one dollar for every thousand daily uniques produced in a year. Of course, as a buyer I try to use the lower of these two figures. But when I sell, I go for the higher price.
However there may be other concerns. I recently bought a set of adult websites for about three times what they would have cost using either of those methods. I paid extra because they came with several years worth of listings in a database and (most importantly) adult webmasters used the "submit" regularly, and I wanted to be able to advertise my affiliate program to them when they submitted new links.
First of all, you chose the wrong forum for this thread. Second, it all depends on where your 1,500 daily visitors are coming from.
you may calculate yourself: site monthly revenue X 12 . or as you are planing it to sale on flippa so you go and find a competitor site what the are offering .
