Hi there, I'm wondering when starting a email list for a dating apps what kind of content works best with a singles audience? Dating tips? Quotes? Is it more profitable to send out daily, weekly or monthly emails? I'm new at all this and am trying to learn about email lists. Thanks
send tips what to do during dates, date "success" stories, "how to organize an extraordinary date", what to do after first date, do you need a second date. and stuff like that. cool content strategy would be like a cycle of e-mails like "5 steps to" .... and make an email with a text for every step. Those, who get hooked up will wait for your next e-mail impatiently Just don't get spammy -- people hate it.
Thanks for all the differnt ideas on what I could send out Karuna17! All of your ideas are awsome. It's great to get someone elses perspective, because they see things that I may not. Thanks again
Ethan, That's a good idea on specific days such as weekends when they go on dates and holidays like valentines. I hadn't thought of that and makes sense. Instead of sending them daily mail if it comes on the weekends they may look forward to it more. Thanks!
Imagine yourself waking up a nice Saturday morning all alone and there's a e-mail from the dating site describing most effective dating techniques ever. Wouldn't you like to try them at once, sending a virtual flower to some sexy brunette?
I don't want to sound contradicting and I don't know if the guys here have any experience with email marketing or not but I actually found (unfortunately through experience) out that engagement dropped when I shifted to twice a week email sched conpared to when I was emailing them everyday. You see, no matter what niche you're in, these people are subscribed to diffrent lists and are also probably sending them emails. So even it you take a day or two off, other marketers won't. Besides, if you track your open rates you'd notice that they don't open your email the same day you sent them. Sometimes it's two days and sometimes it takes them a week! I don't know...but for me, emailing them everyday far outweighs not doing it. And also you can track your unsubscribes, which in my case stayed the same whether or not I email them daily or not. Just a thought.
