I'll give you an advise. First of all especially you should clearly understand what do you want. I mean details. You should know who would buy it, how much, how often, what would they think about it and more and more and more. Without targeting-plan nobody would help you.
Well my list is for the IM/MMO niche so it's less relevant. My advice is that you look for people the sell Solo Ads for the self development niche. This can skyrocket your email marketing.

But here's what you can do to entice affiliates to promote for you. 1. promote it to your own list first and track your stats especially your EPC. 2. Once you have your stats, that's the time you go to affiliates. You can find dime a dozen by typing your keyword in google + the word review. Those doing the reviews, those are affiliates. 3. Or you can post your product on Jv listings like JV notify pro, clickbank or jvzoo. 4. Just buy a course on how to properly launch a product.
The best thing is highlight the benefits that you will be providing to the affiliates. Make sure that they get the best in comparison to the competition only then they will be interested in promoting your products.
