I've fiddled with PHP and an API a bit and a little test project ended up going live a few days This website will combine 1 technology related word with a common word ending(english word endings), and the result will become a cool tech-name, I was actually quite impressed by some of the names it could come up with. The site is monetized via affiliate links(user has the choice of clicking register which will take them to the domain purchase screen of 3 domain registrars that had an affiliate program that was easily implemented with my affiliate link). Tell me if it generates some domains you think are cool Here is the Website: http://HelgesDomainGenerator.com/
Your site is simple which is good and i have seen that you have add your pic on favicon you can change it and add something better. This site will be very helpfull for newbies to find some good domain
Wow, Amazing. Simple and Clean Look. Very Impressive Color combination. You have included .guru extension !! Great place to find in many extension at a time.
I can add as many extensions as i want since I coded my script to be extensible I am gonna rewrite it a bit and probably release it to the public in the near future.
I could block access to those, but I'm not going to, there is no need and no secrets that needs to be hidden
Going to add support for plugging in our own keyword? I mean the suffixes you chose are great, but the same can be accomplished by me just taking the keyword and adding a common suffix...
I don't have enough knowledge of coding to know 100% what is capable and what isn't, I just know what tools are already out there and what aren't. What about.... 1) combinations of words that "sound" like dictionary words 2)Prefixes like "I","E","X"etc. with dictionary words 3)Check out the tool 123Finder.com , maybe you can take some ideas from there... Now it depends on who you are marketing this to (IMO) by introducing the new extensions. But by presenting them those, you are opening a whole lot more possibilities, possibilities that they may prefer exploring off of your site...
I might add the first two, and check out the third later. as for new TLD's, I can add all the TLD's i want very easily by adding them to a text file, I made this script with my DomainAPI calss that I created, you can check that out on my blog: http://helgesverre.com/blog/php-domain-availability-checking-script/
Can't promise this will offer you any help, but you can check out https://web.archive.org/web/20130410181316/http://www.domainapi.com/ . Let me know if that helps...
