    Yes the answers is yes, there is a need of SEO but I would not say there is a need of hiring any SEO to do your work rather than Google has simplified it in such a way the you yourself can do SEO of your site. :)

    In my views, SEO is must to promote your business in local or global market, now-a-days. I also think that only hire SEO, if you don't have time, but have money to do SEO, else first learn and do it by yourself. You can find lots of tutorials online to learn it in short period of time.

    A good idea if you want to make money or increase traffic, sure, but not needed. There are plenty of other ways to become popular.

So SEO is must for the every website if you want to active on internet and sale your product. SEO not only for eCommerce website you cab built your brand in google from SEO. can any one how to google consider this is brand and this not.

    Answer is here : @John Dave google your company name " Rapidsoft Technologies " you will see 10 result in SERP. Its not a brand when you will search " equasar web solutions, gravity informatics, gravity fashion, " you will see 7 result in SERP. Its brand, So when you will see 7 results in google with brand name that means you have make brand in google. :) ;)
