Someone could access your data. so please change or uninstall your browser if you are using IE.

Microsoft is aware of limited, targeted attacks that attempt to exploit a vulnerability in Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 7, Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 9, Internet Explorer 10, and Internet Explorer 11.

Microsoft will provide an update to this problem on May 13. There is a tool kit available through Adobe that you can use in the meantime. But yes I do agree that one should change your browser (from IE) for now.
Also you should be have adequate firewall protection and be using relevant software.

Anyone still using Internet Explorer deserves to be attacked...preferably with a blunt object around the head until they see sense.

You would require a rather large blunt object, as an estimated 55% of users around the globe do indeed still use Explorer. (Microsoft stats)

Don't know how reliable they are but statcounter shows only about 22%:

Still far too many in my opinion.

I assume Microsoft stats only show how many people have it installed, It's installed on my laptop but I never use it

From what I read it appears that you have to go to a website that has evil scripts.

If you go to known and trusted sites you'll be fine.
