I think there's a thread on their forum explaining how they received a DDOS attack for a period of time this month - it could be related to that? Anyway, they've been around for a long time so should recover fine.

 

Their forum is also not accessible. I wanted a nice fresh glype theme that's why I visited their site.

 

Sometimes they do that, they instantly redirects proxy.org users to a random proxy site.

Can't wait for the schools to be back. This is my first year having a decent sized proxy site with organic traffic - didn't realize how much organic comes from the schools.

Maybe if you devote much time, you can make decent income. I'd say, if you know how to administer a unix server, go ahead. You can setup proxies in zero time and make money from day one.

I studied computers but this was my first real encounter with unix. I started with the business plan to devote one week max to learn and setup a proxy server, with the target to make 50 euros per month profit.

Since I am a perfectionist, I ended up devoting 3 months of endless nights trying to learn and setup the VPS correctly. I wanted to make a super fast proxy and I succeeded. A visitor can open 5-6 youtube windows and they will all play the videos without any delay.

I experimented with two domains, an https and a regular http one. The first one makes 90% of the total income. In a typical month (May 2014) they made a little under 15,00 euros income total. With schools closed they make about 6,00 euros per month (strangely the traffic went up during the summer).

I have a regular job and when I take an extra project, I expect to earn from it an extra 400 per month. Besides the knowledge I acquired in unix systems, I feel I lost about 1100 euros on this project (for the unpayed work I have done). I left behind other much more promissing projects, where I could put my web design and SEO skills to much better use, only because I did not want to admit I made the wrong decision when I got involved with proxies.

In a few months the domains will expire, so I think I will look to sell them to anyone with a descent offer.

Hi guys i'm new on proxy, so i need some help, and i come here cuz i see a lot of expert here
i want to start a proxy web site, so i download a phproxy template but when i test the proxy it cant login on facebook ?
how can i fix this ?
and how i can start a proxy network on a one VPS ?
