Hello to all. i am new Here. i am working in SEO.i have working many long tail keywords. i want to know how to target a short tail keyword and how to get rank in short time. just like single keywords have any possibility to get a rank.
Well that's probably because almost no one was targeting them and the same reason why when you use short keywords along with longtails, the longatails tend to rank along the way without actively doing SEO for them. So yeah, it can take longer, but the process is the same - how long will it take depends on the competition and how good SEO are you doing.
Well, I don't think that targeting in short tail keyword is preferred now consider targeting long tail keywords.
It's basically the same strategy. It's just harder because of competition. For that reason, I'm going to continue to work in volume with long tail stuff.
The strategy would be the same for both long and short tail keywords but level of effort would obviously different. If you want to rank for short tail keywords then work on backlinks and try to increase your domain authority..
Those kind of links are very low quality, don't do them. You can increase domain authority with literally any links, I've seen people getting DA35 with just blog comments, so really don't worry about that too much.
You rank them the same way as you would long tail keywords. What you can do which will have a lot of benefit to your short tail keywords is build up a large number or relevant long tail keywords and focus them around the short tail keyword. As the long tail keywords begin to rank they will give more authority to your short tail keywords as you seem to have a lot of relevant information surrounding a specific topic Regards Konrad
rank the same way, when you get higher authority it will go high as well, like when amazon prudcts get higher rank then website that is talking all about the sobject
Exactly what others have said, generally same process. Competition is what will be your biggest obstacle. Just keep adding fresh, unique, and relevant content to your site often. Update/reload your site files often. Also, work on getting quality backlinks naturally. Cheers, JL
You need to look deep at what the competition is doing to achieve the rankings they have. Things like - The amount of backlinks they have. What are their backlinks like - high quality or low quality? Are those backlinks from article directories, forums, directories, web 2.0, blogs ect? What on page optimization does each page in the top 10 utilize - if any(most will). The age of the site/domain. What social presence do they have? Do they have their own Facebook, twitter, tumblr, printerest ect... These are just some of the things to look at before you try and rank. You might already know all of this but just in case you don't or others don't - thought I would share. What's working for me? I try and be every where. But lately I've been building large social networking profiles with tonnes of followers. I always backlink my backlinks sometimes up to 4-5 tiers. I still use article marketing, blog commenting and guest posting. I always research the competition - if I can get their backlinks I GET THOSE BACKLINKS... I use 3 tools - GSA SER - Automates tiered backlinking + Submits to thousands of sites/footprints.. Capture Breaker - Saves me a tonne of money on capture breaking services.. Market Samurai - Best tool I've found for keyword research, spying on competitors + finding backlinks. Ohhh and I buy private proxies as well.
Short tail keywords are hard to optimize . But a unique content at every website with a co-citation mechanism can lead you .But still you need some patience in terms of months.
Hi, The process is same in SEO for Both long and short tail keywords but competition will be more on short key phrases actually SEO would be more sucessful when it ranks for short tail keywords as a result hardwork on it...
Suppose you have a short tail keyword named 'Superb Houses', you need to build 5 do follow links to it daily. On the other hand you need to focus some long tail keyword as well, related to your short tail keyword and it should be something like this 'Amazing Superb Houses Italy', you need to do 10 do follow links for it daily. In total they are 15.
You need to get a few quality links from aged domains preferably in the same niche, and having high PR, DA and PA. Such links work like a charm.
Short keywords are hard to rank. Why? --> Because people are trying to rank for REALLY different long-tail keywords, then this short keyword is a PART of them and this also gives them a small chance to rank for this short keyword too. Working on the small one is not recommended, but while working for a GOOD longtail keyword, you can get a good ranking for related keywords too (or a part of the keyword you worked on!)
