Gosh, silly me, I thought you were hiring.

And the mods don't send PMs - that's what the warning system is for. The heading "started in wrong category" says all it needs.

Based on your description, it sounds like it was started in he wrong area to me... The system is working exactly as designed. Now you know you started something in the wrong place, and in the future you will (hopefully) remember. At the same time it affects your account exactly zero unless you were to keep doing it an absurd amount of times in a short period.

As far as you seeing other stuff that violates our rules, use the Report option? That's what it's there for...

and what would Jesus do? laugh at you for posting in the wrong area?
I guess we all do it, sometimes not on purpose thinking it was in a
good area to begin with, then month later get a notice, almost as
if the DP police were digging in deep so they could find something....
    oh well...

You'd be amazed at the age of some of the threads that get reported. We've had some of the stumbleupon exchange threads reported because they're now banned, but back in '08 or whatever they weren't.

GoDaddy or HostGator? That's like choosing between being skinned alive or having your eyeballs removed with rusty forks :D

Seeing as this has already run off topic.... While I dont use Godaddy, it does say "Each Dedicated Server Plan includes: [snip] 24/7 telephone, email and Web-based tech support"

Even *if* you have to pay for it, it is better to ask your hosting provider first, rather then potentially hiring randomers from a forum, simply as it is important to be carefull who you give back access to your server.

Hmmm, it seems that every time you receive a warning, you create a thread on Support & Feedback forum. Imagine if I were to do that, I'd have created 27 threads by now. That would be down right boring!;)
