Howdy There, I am back at it again because the last design just did not work. I am working on a large scale redesign and need a modern, fresh logo to help the updated look of the site. Here is the site's new header design with the old logo (actual size if opened in new tab/window): I am looking for something a little more modern that blends better with the newer design. Here are some guidelines for the overall design: The design must keep the same aspect ratio (i.e. do not post something that is very tall and thin). The upside down spade aspect must stay for branding purposes. You may redesign it however you want, but there must be a upside down spade encompassed by a circle. The logo must be able to be both greyscale and color for marketing purposes. As the contests progresses I will quote designs that I think exemplify what I am looking for and why. I will most likely not be able to give feedback on each individual design, so please take a look at my comments and adapt them to your design. This is a collective contest, which means I will not accept submissions via private message. Best of luck to everyone and I cannot wait to see what comes out!
Hey Guys, Thanks for the entries already! Can you please show them in the image provided? That would help me get a better feel for how well they blend!
I like the design here but I do not think the font blends well with the overall design of the new site. I like this design, please place it on the header so I can gauge how fluid it is with the site design. This is nice, but I think the spade is a little too big and the outer circle a little small. Take a look at some of the other designs posted above.
I like the first design, but the font does not blend well. I like the thick font, but the site it majority serif based and it looks like you have a sans-serif based font here (i.e. Arial versus Times New Roman).
This is so much fun to watch on DP. Played in the Pokerati game at the Palms quite a few times with Dan. Is he still running the site?
Yes he is! I am working with him to get Pokerati back to its prime with a new look. Unfortunately when it comes to graphic art, my level of expertise is equal to a few crayons and a piece of paper.
Sounds great! I'll get in touch with you guys when I'm in town for the series and would love to take a look and give my 0.02! Best of luck with the contest!
