Contest Logo design - $40USD Prize. Accounting/Tax Business. 5days.

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a logo design to put on a business sign, letters, business cards etc. So i will need the winner to provide different size images.

Its for an Australian accounting/tax agent business so it needs to look professional.

The business is called: Carey's Accounting and Taxation Services
I wouldn't mind a little slogan under it like 'your local family tax practice'

I've currently just started a simple, temporary wordpress site (not complete). Basically, its a pre-tech business and its fallen behind in recent times, and now needs gen Y to try appeal to a new market. Anyway, you can see it at http://careysaccounting.com/ if that helps

As per the colour scheme, i am not too fussed, you guys are the experts so i'll leave that in your hands. Obviously the colours have to look professional so something like grey, dark green, blue etc. But i'll leave this to your discretion.

If you want to include any images you deem appropriate feel free. As you can tell, i'm quite open to designs, and I will provide feedback to those that enter.

Winner will get $40USD. Competition will close in 5 days or thereabouts.

Hi everyone, thanks for the entries. Feedback at present is as follows:


Krishmk: Unfortunately this isn’t what we are looking for. I don’t like it comes across as a professional business.

Animman: I quite like this design with the pillar. Would it be possible to maybe try it with a blue and/or green. One of the favourites for now.

Massi1: Sorry, this one I do not like.

Sobbi: I like the underlying idea, arrow meaning growth etc. But we believe it seems a bit cartoonish.

Andreimuresan2013: I don’t mind this design. If possible, could you eliminate the backwards C and reduce the size of the big C around the outside a little. Maybe so it comes to midway of the R in Carey. Also, could you please make it Carey’s. Upon changes, further feedback will be given.

Rxzor: So far this is the favourite. It is simple, yet professional. If possible, could you do a mock up business card? Loving this design though.

Athrokkbaby: This I believe has great potential, however would it be possible to see it in a different colour scheme. I think Black White and Blue, like the colours in the post above yours.

Sobbi: Thanks for the entry, unfortunately this was not amongst the favourites.

Sikka: I do like the design, however I don’t think it comes across as very professional.

Kainraziall: Great working potential. I would love to see your design in black, white and blue. Or maybe a few other colours. Preferably a white or no-fill background.

Zasul: Very good, however just not on par with some of the others. The logo itself doesn’t catch me.

Jagodesign: Similar to the above feedback, I like it, however it doesn’t catch the eye instantly like some others.

Pixelsy: Again, I like it, however it doesn’t stand out like some others. Perhaps a colour adjustment?

Santacruz: I like this, could you possibly work some more colours in though?


At present, Rxzor is #1, closely followed by Kainraziall, Athrokkbaby and Animman.

I'm very impressed with the quality of the work coming through, keep it up. Look forward to seeing adjustments.
