What is a good bounce rate for SEO?

I've been trying to optimize my bounce rate to improve my SEO.
But, I am not sure what would be a good number to aim for.

My site is a developer blog, and the current rate is about 14%.

Bounce rate is more than just a number. You might have a very low bounce rate but it doesn't mean that users found what they were looking for.

A 14% bounce rate might be very impressive in the context of a large number of unique views.
My blog has a 10% bounce rate. Seemingly better, right? Yeah, but I have just 10 unique views, so really that 10% means very little.

Generally, if your views go up and yet the bounce rate remains the same — you've done a good job with your website. :)

Actually Bounce rate isn't a viral factor at all. My blogs bounce rate is around 40 to 50% and I am making $100 to $150 daily sales.

The bounce rate percentage must be as low as possible. lower the number, more time the visitor was on your website and this is considered as positive by the search engine.

"Good bounce rate" doesn't make sense to me. A "bounce" can be a good thing or a bad thing. A bounce could be good if the person clicked on an ad and went to your sponsor's site (a potential sale). A bounce could be good if the person clicked on something that took them to another site that you control (more engagement). A bounce can be good Google got them exactly to the page they needed on your site and they spent a bunch of time reading that page and then left (liking your site and wanting to come back). Or a bounce can be bad if the person just didn't like your site and left.

Because "bounce" includes good stuff and bad stuff, there is no such thing as a good bounce rate. It's best just to ignore it - it has no real meaning. What are the goals of your site? Pay attention to metrics that measure those things directly and forget the other stuff.

It depends on what you are selling. I was selling a $10k product that had a 40% bounce rate, but my sales converted faster than a site that gets a 20% bounce rate. So it depends on what your selling

If your site is currently having 14% bounce rate, then it is considered as good bounce rate but again it is also related to your website sessions and users (unique visitors). You can go through some expert suggestions here http://www.tisindia.com/blog/how-to-minimize-bounce-rate-of-your-website/, http://www.quicksprout.com/2014/04/17/how-to-decrease-your-bounce-rate/ , http://www.inc.com/guides/2011/01/how-to-reduce-your-website-bounce-rate.html

Yes 100% Right instead of reducing the bounce rate try towards more flow with visitors reaching with the right audience will stop the bouncing.

You have a pretty good bounce rate I must say. Normally bounce rate varies between 40% to 50%.
