The point of a BIN is "buy it now" for 250$.

Auction is over. Site is sold.

It ultimately is up to the seller, I cannot force him to hand the site over. I guess we will see how straight up he is.

Well technically the auction wasn't over, and I offered more then anyone else so I would be the winner of this auction..And reall nice how you threaten to damage his reputation over something you are totally wrong about..

The auction is over when someone offers the BIN. There is no question about that, if the seller did not want to sell at $250 he should have either put a reserve price, or not listed a BIN.

Which part of this auction am I wrong about? Someone, please, point it out to me.

    auction is over

    I didn't expect this...

This is a difficult decision indeed.

Technically, whydna, you did win this auction at the call of a BIN of $250, and what you are saying is correct, however, common sense would tell you that if you are offered a better offer, you should go with that.

txtnick made the mistake of not seeing the BIN, and I for one am not going to get all technical and say "well too bad..that's the rules of an auction".

It was partly my fault also for setting the BIN at that price, I shouldn't have undervalued the site the way I did. Once again, I'm not going to punish myself for doing that though.

It's just like selling a car. If you are selling it at $10K and someone is about to buy it, yet someone comes along and offers $15K, you would be stupid not to go with the $15K offer. So why would it be different online?

In all honesty, this has nothing to do with credibility or being straight up. This is business.

txtnick is the winner with $450

    Thanks for everyone for bidding.

A BIN is a BIN. If the site was setup differently, like ebay or sitepoint, then there would be no oppurtunity for you to recieve any more bids after the BIN. By listing the Buy It Now price you are stating that you are happy to sell at that price, and should follow through.

So why end the auction now? Why not wait for a few more offers? When does the auction end?

    I will offer $550

Dude you have 0 integrity, you may have gotten $200 more for this site but you will lose all your respect here at Digital Point. You made a contract and it is in wording here. Honor it and don't sale yourself out for a little money.

You just made a terrible decision. You need to sell the website to whydna for BIN price.
