I'm a little new at blogging and have a couple of questions: In #2 you mention SNAP plugin. What does this do exactly? In #10 you refer to BlogEngage andKingged. What are these? The rest of what you've listed I heard of or am using presently. Thanks
Thanks for your queries. SNAP (Social Networks Auto Poster) where it publish nicely formatted messages to your Facebook, Twitter, Google+(Google Plus), Blogger, LiveJournal, Delicious, Diigo, Stumbleupon, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Plurk, VKontakte(VK.com), WordPress, and Tumblr accounts. BlogEngage and Kingged are blogging community where all bloggers submit their latest blog articles for exposure, backlinks and traffic. Hope this helps!

There's one more step which should be taken. Try to inspire more comments. This can be done with answering queries promptly, engaging in meaningful debate, etc. Blog posts with high number of comments show high reader engagement and gets duly reflected in the search results.
These are good tips and I have tried a lot of them but I have found I am in a never ending circle of death. I can't get back links or high ranks because my site is quite new and still have a very small following so no one wants to give me links. No one can therefore find my content so therefore I gain followers at a practically non existent pace. If you start of with a 1000 followers then you are golden but its getting to that stage which is an absolute nightmare. My followers are liking my content but they just aren't sharing it or even commenting on it.
i agree broombroom. i think if your blog is something special, people will come without doing these 10 steps but if your blog is *nothing special* then you can perform 50 steps and it will never be popular. thats my experience.
Thanks for your response -- it looks like others in the forum had similar questions. I plan to check out SNAP, BlogEngage and Kingged in the near future. How long have you been blogging and how did you start?
