Don't you think it is easier to find content via google.com, rather than the search box in your website?
i made only 10$ with google search box. By the way, Google search box is really not concern about making money. You can make a lot of money with adsense ads. Google search box main aim is to provide your visitors with an ease of use of your website. And Google also likes and notes when a person use their search engine from your website. Thanks !
$10... let me see. At 1 cent per click, I would need 1,000 clicks. That would be more than 100,000 page views on my search page.
My Google search box is still on the site... I guess it's better than the free search box that's on my site.
I don't know what software you are using but it does mess up my wiki software. Anyway, this thread has given me a better idea. I should have 2 versions, the Google search box for readers and the original one (that comes with the software) for myself.
No, from all my Adsense ads, not just the 728 x 90. Surprising, I don't get any clicks if I put the 728 x 90 above the fold. It works only at the end of my articles. DigitalPoint has been an invaluable forum. Despite the fact that I am not active, it has helped me a lot. I just changed my Search Box, such that if I logged in, I don't see my Google Search Box but my default software search box (which is more useful for me), but for viewers, they will see the Google Search Box. Will let you know how it perform, since I just installed it a while ago. (A little problem with the codings, but thank God, I finally succeeded!)
Not much money there, but even one cent is better than nothing. I think beggars get more than us, the average Adsense publishers, LOL.
You are mixing the page views and clicks dear ! Search box pays according to different searches that have been made on it. And let me take your thing getting 1000 clicks in 4 months is just possible by the way
I think it all depends on the type of site, right? I can easily get 1000 clicks in 2 months for my Adsense ads but no way I can get that with my search box. Anyway, I just reinstalled it two days ago, after hearing what you guys are getting. I managed it hide the search box when I logged in, so it doesn't mess up my editing. I just checked and found one click. That's better than nothing...
Yeah It actually based on your niche. And you can use two search boxes on one page. Its very easy to get searches by placing your search box at right specific position and again you should not remove search box from your site because its not all just to make money. You should also provide your visitors with ease on your site. Thanks Hope you got it
Hi Syed, what do you mean by "right specific position"? You mean on the right panel? What do you think of the location of my search box at http://health.jbdirectory.com/Health_and_wellness
I started with the left and then changed it to the right, after I read somewhere that right is better. But the results doesn't prove to be so, in my case. Then I read in some Adsense advice page that left is better, so I changed it back to the left. Left is better for me because it doesn't mess my layout because my photos and other Adsense ads (other than the skyscraper at the moment) are all on the right.
