Last night A Black Hat SEO Specialist told me that, "There is nothing about Keyword Stuffing in google updates. Google just made a wriggle with SEO marketers. ... And always google makes us stupid." As a content writer, I need to be clear, Is he true?
Look across the posts in DP forums and decide it for yourself... I hate to repeat myself, but it is actually very simple from my point of view: stock holders want more money; google's team has nowhere to go, but obey - no matter how; hence they put on any and every kind of excuse (such as the recent - last few years algo updates) & some guy, playing like a puppet telling us what is right and what is wrong...; finally people, especially those with real, I am meaning physical business get despaired so much, that they have nowhere to go, but pay for adwords! = happy cutts, happy team, and mostly happy share holders This of course affect us all, or almost all of us, but I do not see it going too far. The fuckin' search engine itself is nothing without us and I believe this will be becoming more and more serious problem for them in the not so distant future - again just my opinion! One last, but important thing - DO NOT GET IT AS JUST TOLD TO YOU, especially from a "black hat guy"! Make a research for yourself/site and realize what would be good for you & your business. If you do not know how, you have just reached maybe the best place to learn how, so look around! Cheers & good luck!
I am a content Developer. I don't like to do SEO works. But I need to know this kind of matters because it's related to content. I will change my Content Strategy if his sentence seems true. Just it nothing more. I don't like to believe Businessman's sentence. I think Google is one kind of Chameleon! So why you are thinking that I am going to trust a simulant.
What google wants is good quality content on your site. No keyword stuffing write naturally. If your content is good then it will get shared and tweeted through social mediums.
If you increase your keyword density in your content than what you like to call it? Stuffing or anything else? I think this is also stuffing. Not only using of invisible keywords are stuffing. Am I clear? How you like to give instruction for your content writer? - Keyword Density more than 2%, 5% or 10? Obviously not! May be you like to keep it below 2%! Isn't it?
Keyword density is old school ... very old. Write naturally, include various synonyms and related phrases for your main keywords, and you'll do fine. But again, be sure it sounds natural. I used to teach college English, and I recommend to web masters that you read your copy out loud to yourself and see if it sounds natural or contrived?
I completely agree with Jim on this one. Density is rather lacking popularity. The focus is mainly on appearance, as Jim describes, natural.
This. Next, you'll be asking if the keywords meta tag is still essential. Or if it's a good idea to spam blog comments.
I suspect it might make you "look" stupid, but it certainly can't make you literally stupid. Personally I'm delighted that Google is getting smarter and can tell the difference between copy written by someone selling to humans, or by someone crudely manipulating the serps. What makes people look stupid is chasing after the latest trend and forgetting their customer.
Hay tufayal, when I saw your title, I really sucked... But when I read your full article, I thought actually is it right? But I want to say, right way will always appreciate, but if you think, the Back hat specialist is right. I`ll say, your black hat specialist was wrong. I Explain about it, Keyword stuffing isn`t a right way (everybody knows it). I`m thinking, You`ll do it, but you`ll permanently banned from google after 2-3 month. Just like Songnpk.. So you`ll understand when you`ll not get visitor from search engine. Google isn`t stupid. Some black hat optimizers is really stupid. Now huge site are competing for getting rank one on google search engine. Goole is trying to control for that site.. When Google saw its really then Google are ready with sandbox. So it`s not shame for us.. if you think, "Keyword density is old school"... i want to say, please please explain about it.. how? and why?
Because too many people will doing it... that's why... same reason Wordpress blogs are on the decline... because they're abused too much. Google doesn't want article after article in their search engine, blogging is for authors & those can actually write, not for those who write for the sake of filling up their blogs with shit content with their sole focus on ad's. Have you also noticed ad's aren't based on subject matter any more? They're based on the users search pattern - another move to stamp out stuffing & bloggers writing about non sense.
Just try to think like that, Someone wrote a big post and he used the targeted keyword again and again. So What will happen? Is it stuffing or not? If you try to keep it out of the definition of Keyword Stuffing, then listen the Matt's Speech again how he tried to define Keyword Stuffing by twisting his hand to indicate the keyword into the content.
Because Google's recent (i.e. Panda and after) updates all move away from the idea that a keyword should appear a certain optimum number of times. They're more interested in evaluating the overall value of pages, by measuring style, content, clarity, authority, etc. Keyword density was too easy to "game": get the right number of repetitions, win a higher ranking. Whenever something is THAT simple, Google will change it to avoid abuse.
If you use the keyword over and over again this is kw stuffing. You can use your keyword but include it naturally when you are writing a blog post/article or for your website.
