Now that brings back memories, yeah I tried it. I tried auto surfers etc for it but it was too hard to earn if I remember correctly (I joined late I guess).

Interesting old tripod site about these: http://trick34.tripod.com/gotoworld.html

There's no reason for them to all go this way if they didn't offer to pay more than what the advertisers pay them! But If you're right, giving it 6 months first will only lessen your chances :p

There is still the question of how much money I'm willing to throw at start-up costs, which could be rather high. :)

Any and all pay to surf sites looked reliable.
Yeah, jump in and in six months, let me know.

Sound all hypy to me, and nothing about any solid guarantees.

Good luck with yet another free to make money scam?

I've been reading some other posts about agloco and I really think it could take off. Imagine the advertising potential, sending targeted ads to people rather than websites, based on other topics they've clicked or even items they've bought with little risk of click fraud and overspend. A better adsense :)

LOL, yeah, back before the internet bubble burst there were TONS of these because advertising paid so well. To bad it was all funded by venture capital and everyone was selling advertisement without any real products... so it all collapsed in on itself.

    I miss those days though....

p.s sorry to post twice in a row

It looks like they're going to pay as much as they can afford which is great because it will stop them going bust. They give you shares in the company and divide their profit between them.

But from what I read it sounds like you only get paid when you or a referral does some affiliate action thing.

I don't see the point in these pay per surf programs, if they pay or not. I prefer to spend my time building up my own website with genuine residual incomes. At least I have total control over it.

With this program you have no control.

For example, if you spend 1,000 and get 1000 referral signups and start earning some good money then that is fine, but this program could easily stop paying out in the future or may even go bankrupt, know all of that effort you put into getting referrals and things have gone.

With a site it is a different story.

The advantage of these programs is that they're easier to get involved in and make money with little experience but at the cost of increased risk.

I just found out you get one share per hour surfing and a 1/4 of a share for each hour referrals spend. Imagine if google buys out the company or someone like microsoft to enable them to compete with google... huge money shared out between us members :D
