    Hi guys,

i would like you to first checkout this website http://www.pelletmilloutlet.com/

then you'll find it's all through nothing but very strong keywords stuffing, and barely 1 or 2 links in terms of inbound links, but when i search with "pellet mill", which is the seed keyword in this industry, this website ranks top 3 in organic. I just don't understand why websites like this are still surviving, even well?! where does the penalty from google gone?

The site is relevant to the search query, why would it not show up?

sure it is. And i think it is too relevant. But the questions is it not over optimized? I don't think seo is not as easy as just putting all keywords in pages.

Google and the searchers who use Google obviously disagree with you.

    "I don't understand google's spam policy"
Google doesn't even understand their own spam policy...There are plenty of spammy sites that dominate even highly competitive search queries' SERPs. There are also many high quality, extremely relevant websites that don't even show up in the first 50 pages of SERPs...At the end of the day it's an algorithm and it can / will be manipulated no matter what anti-spam implementations they apply to it. Most of the latest ones appear to be hurting legitimate webmasters more than the "spammy" webmasters IMHO.

If you limit yourself to being dependent on Google and having the possibility of losing everything overnight at their discretion, then you won't get too far. Social media is the future, and arguably even the present key to good traffic generation these days... Good branding, and strong social media presence in your niche along with building a name for yourself / your brand in communities that relate to your niche are just as, if not more, powerful than just ranking in Google and getting "organic" traffic.

*edit - Additionally I think you just accidentally disclosed your niche publicly, and showed it was very low competition. You might very well find 2 more of these low quality EMD's pop up in the near future now and have to compete with them as well. Gotta be careful with what you post on webmaster forums...(purely speculation, I could be wrong)

You are pointlessly worrying about your competitor's too much. Instead, focus on your own site and providing the best site for your audience.

Check the backlinks of pelletmill.net and then the other one you mentioned. Never mind how good a site is, if the owner/SEO engages in link spam then it will cause problems.
