My son is studying German at school and seems to wander round with his headphones on watching "red vs blue" and something called rooster teeth. I figure there is probably something aimed at the young adult market in German instead of English. Any recommendations?

First of all, kudos to learning German. Second of all, that's a great and funny series to watch. It's more of a comical spoof of the game called Halo, and it's just for giggles. I don't know if they dubbed the language in German, but that's a good way to learn I suppose if it was. Other than that, he's probably watching it for fun.

Well, I'm sure you could try finding anime dubbed in German for him. All the classics are probably available in a decent translation if you look for them. Naruto and whatnot. I don't know what the kids are into these days.

Make sure he doesn't get addicted to video games while studying German. Kids today are so freaking addicted to playing video games. I have a friend whose son will skip meals, forego all social activities and even can be deceitful - all because of his insatiable desire to play video games.

Well it's not just that. It's the motivation and determination. He can play video games all he wants but I agree he shouldn't play it constantly. It's learning how to prioritize versus relaxing or lazing. Just be responsible and prioritize. Video games or even watching a few favorite shows here and here is a good stress reliever. No likes a serious Sam, so hence I give him a high five for picking a good show to watch. I'm not a kid or anything but like I said, finding something to relieve work/home/w.e stress is good here and there, but excessively watching or playing something says a lot about the person.

p.s i like ur avatar. good show.
