I think most of the forums including Digitalpoint offer NoFollow links. Do the Nofollows create spam ? I use two signatures with different links. will that be a problem?
If you following forums rules and you interactive with members even give them your contribution, surely this is not spam
no it is not considered as SPAM, when you use multiple keywords for multiple links, hope yes, but its not a spam here in DP.
in my experience a good, effective link which will help serps for a specific keyword group is one which sends your site site a lot of traffic, ie gets a lot of clicks, so really spamming forums is actually very ineffective and just a waste of time if you're not getting any referrals. If you think about getting links from both seo and a good business point of view then you'll surely benefit in more ways that one. Building links this way is not stressful at all!
Why would a forum signature be considered SPAM? Unless you're linking the same URL with multiple keywords then that's considered spam. I wouldn't use forum signatures much in my link building campaigns, only a few here and there from forums highly related to my niche.
^That! Most people are already smart enough not to stuff their signatures with links and repetitive keywords, the traffic is the key benefit. When you contribute and are being kind and helpful, people give more attention to your profile. Looking at your forum signature gives them an idea who you are, what you do, and sometimes your area of expertise is exactly what they might need. I am glad to have found so many new clients here and in WHT and all I have to do is just help when I can. Sounds like a bargain to me
Thinking outside the box - forum signatures (if dofollow) might have some value in terms of SEO, however having thousands of links from one single domain is not one of the best SEO practices. I'm not saying forum signatures are/should not be part of a SEO campaign but you need to diversify your linking tactics and always expand - the more domains linking to your site, the more quality high authority links the better.
Thank for sharing all those stuffs about forum signature. It'll help a lot about how can we use signatures in forum.
Better use your blog link as forum signature. These guys from the forums has nothing to do with your homepage if you are having a local business
Interesting! I didn't know the Digitalpoint has no-follow signature? I always thought is do-follow in this forum can anyone please let us know which one is it thanks.
Thanks for this discussion. Now I hope this is based on latest Google SEO update. Kindly Confirm Meghna, Content Writer of "Master Adviser" site
Digital point is No follow. But more than just getting some links i love this community and love being here
Forums are used to discussed queries and if your participation helps others you find signature bu don't spam it is always Bad for for your website health.
Forum sigs are ok, ideally relevant sites if possible. Some will be nofollow though, I have a feeling this one is dofollow actually although I havent been on here long enough for mine to be enabled!
If you actively take part of a forum, then your signature will not be considered spam. It is your side benefit for being a useful member in a community. If, conversely, what you do is to use a software like Xrumer to sign up to 21436 forums just to get a link from the profile, then you are decidedly link-spamming and that will come back to bite you sooner or later. I hope this clarifies your question.
In its definition spam is "irrelevant or inappropriate messages sent on the Internet to a large number of recipients". In other words, spam is unwanted, excessive soliciting SENT on the internet. Anything else, shouldn't be even called spam. What shall we call it then? Excessive forum signature soliciting?
Exactly. DP forum is everything except a place where you can easily get likes and then a possibility of putting a link in signature. Another "exactly". We all use our signature links for traffic mostly. Since links are nofollow, which is totally natural to Google, and the fact that link is coming from DP I think it is enough reason to be safe with links from here. Personally I was never worried about linking from DP.
