Is there any studies on this? Yes, I know each of you have reasons why you started to be in a business rather than to be employed with someone else. Very Happy hearing your reasons.
Oftentimes people start a business because there is a need that they want to fill or a service/product that is not currently on the market.
People do start a business for various reasons. They want money. Rather we want money (excluding those who are already contented with what they have). But, people basically want to save and earn more. I, for one, would like to start a business just to increment my income.
For more freedom and justice. Business life is not fair for most of employees. They don't earn more enough when they generate good results. Most of the time they have to work for longer hours to earn more and all we have limits, 1 day is 24 hours for everyone.
I would say the freedom surely, but there is the element of challenge too. After a certain age people tend to analyze what they did with their lives so far, have they done anything significant and needlessly compare themselves to others. One way of battling that is starting a venture of your own and position yourself on top of the chain. Even though that creates an abundance of new businesses, most of which don't live much to tell their tale, there are a few geniuses that manage to change their chosen area of operation for generations to come and motivate others to try and achieve such success.
"Every one loves to have their own business" and "every one love act in films if they get a chance".. That kind of a creature humans are !!!
Money is not the primary reason (since many startup related to charity, right?), but people wanna do what they're passionate about (I mean: real FREEDOM).
Perhaps. But some people aren't born into "normal" family. Some people don't have time to debate about passion the just go out and do it. If you would ask 1000 people why they started, you would get 1000 different answers.
I got a nice quote to describe why I do it: "Build your own dreams, or someone will hire you, to build theirs." Farrah Grey said that, couldn't agree more.
The answer that you will get the most is, no one would like to be ruled by someone, everyone would like to get their own freedom. For being your own boss is the main reason. "You choose or let someone choose for you"
For it's because it has no limits too. BUT there are people that want a boss, a leader to follow, mostly for safety.
That's a bit of a tautology/pleonasm. But, I think that's not the main reason entrepreneurs start something up, you can make large money by working for a boss, you can drive 3 Maseratis, when working for a boss. Also, when you start a business, the money still is not growing on trees, you might even have to work harder for it. Freedom is a more often reason to choose entrepreneurship.
Business is only way of freedom and from this we can achieve any goal. No restriction and tension of BOSS. Only business would help you in making more money not job.
They start their own business because: Freedom earning potential Hate their current job They are disabled and cant work outside Spend more time with family they need another income stream because of the economy ect.
