Hello all, I have a blog and want to make a lot of traffic to make money online offline at home. I have been using free blog of blogspot blog. If I make a good design however it is free blog, can I get 1000 traffic per day ?
While a bad design can reduce your traffic, as can being an inaccessible slow loading mess (like the crap blogspot vomits up and has the giant brass monkey balls to call HTML) -- the bottom line for a site's health and traffic is content. IF you have unique original content of value people want to get at, you'll have traffic no matter what a poorly designed mess the page is. The better your content, the less important 'design' becomes... That's part of why my site design and development process is built on the "CONTENT FIRST!" approach. I start out with my content or a reasonable facsimile of future content, mark it up semantically, bend it to my will to make my various CSS layouts, and then/only then worrying about hanging graphics on the layouts.... because at the end of the day people don't visit websites for the layout, goofy graphics hung on the layout, gee ain't it neat scripttard asshattery, or SEO hoodoo-voodoo. They visit for the CONTENT! While I might think Blogger, Blogspot, Turdpress and their ilk is ineptly coded bull that I have to throw custom user.css at to even try to visit, if you put up CONTENT I actually want/care about, I'll jump through those hoops. Most people are the same way, even if they don't realize it and just go "well, that's how the web works." - It's actually amazing how much garbage people will put up with because "that's just how websites are" -- not knowing they don't HAVE to be that way, and if they are, it's actually ineptitude on the part of the developer (or worse the halfwit PSD jockey with the giant brass monkey balls to call themselves a 'designer') at fault. That's why the best SEO to bring in traffic is content of value, marked up semantically, with backlinks from relevant sites on similar topics and some social promotion. That's the be-all end-all of making a successful. Anything more is just dumping a can of shellac on a pile; it's still just bug **** on horse ****, no matter how much you buff and polish it. Also, be careful not to get so obsessed on bringing people in, you neglect to find a way to keep them. Repeat visits have nothing to do with SEO, and can in many ways be more important! It's also the most neglected aspect of site development -- which is why most people consider bounce rates of 85 to 90%+ to be 'normal' and 'expected'; to me it means you're wasting bandwidth on users who don't actually give a flying purple fish about your content.
There are 2 things to be considered with respect to Traffic. One is On-Page optimization , which deals with design & content on your website Other is Off-page optimization , that deals with back-links , SEO , online promotions & marketing. You have to do lot of advertisements / promotions to bring the actual traffic to your website , but in-order for them to stay & spend time on exploring the site , you need to have QUALITY CONTENT & pleasing asthetics (DESIGN) , so you also get new visitors & old visitors can also return to your site frequently to check for updates. Only with good design , you can't expect decent traffic , you need to put in time & effort (also money) to bring traffic to your site. Hope this helps
Thank you so much friend for you valuable and very much useful information. Your information for me will help me to get decent traffic to my blog.
Yes good web design attract the users. If your template design looking good then user will stay there otherwise they will run away. To make your page template you need to hire professional designers. Because its impact on your business if user run away then he never come back to your website.
Brilliant advice. I ALWAYS design my websites around the content. If you have a minimal and clean design that presents the content (the heart of your website) well, you will get people visiting your site that you want there. Not just people who are looking at pretty websites (wasting your bandwidth.)
Good design is one of the ways to success. Another one is SEO which is good with blogger and next is content which you have to create.
If you are trying to use blog to make money online then you are wrong my friend, and you are not thinking in a right way. If you are serious about making money online, you have to think on buying a domain, and host your blog on blogspot, but I won't recommend it, I would suggest you to invest some money on web hosting. First thing you need is to start building you own brand, and provide unique content which people are lookking for and they can get benefit of you skills. Design does not matter, if the follow of the website good, with good markup and valid and error free css then you are almost on the go. The money will automatically follows, I would suggest to you start on what you are really good at it and out source those thinks to those who are good at doing it. Whatever you do it will love and with atmost interest.
Yes, indeed. If you have a very good website design, the website is nice and tidy, you 'll have good returning traffic.
Good website design may help you to convey users only. But if you want more traffic then you have to work on SEO.
