Just be careful what you post and where you post it, if in doubt just don't post it. you can't reduce your warning points, you just have to wait for them to expire.

Just read the descriptions that the mods have left at the top of the threads.(stickys) These should inform you as to whether or not your topic belongs there or elsewhere.

Other members already give you nice advice on how to avoid getting banned and stay positive. I would like to share my experience with you about "getting warning" and "How to avoid it". I would like to talk about warning points and the way to make use of it.

    A) Here are few information about Warning points:
    1. First, any member in this forum would get warning points if they did mistakes such as: Creating meaningless comments, creating thread in wrong place and so on.
    2. Second, each mistake has different warning points. For small mistake, it will only give us one point. However, for severe mistake, more than one point will be given to us.
    3. Third, if user did consecutive/intentional mistakes, there is good chance the user would be banned (temporary or permanently - Depend on the mistake. Five concurrent warning point will result in 'temporary ban' while ten points will result in immediate ban).
    B) My experience while getting warning points:
In the past, I do get warning for doing mistakes. First, I got warning for "raising post counts" and the other warning is for creating thread in wrong location. I remember sharing my experience about getting warning points in this thread: "My personal Experience in getting Warning points and how to stay positive".

    C) How to avoid "Getting warning points again and stay positive".
Getting warning in this forum seems changed me a lot. I always think high of warning from this forum. Therefore, I started to learn about the mistake and how to avoid it.
    1. My first mistake is for "raising post counts". Well, I was 'new' member and didn't aware about saying short and meaningless sentence. I remember wrote a comment saying "Thanks for adding my country into the list" and suddenly got warning. Well, I thank mod for giving me warning because I started to learn why the sentence is not appropriate and should not written it that thread. I realized my mistake and then change myself to always write detailed and useful post whenever possible. I never realize it was the rule in this forum that make me even better and better. My habit to write long and detailed post (the word 'detail' is from my own perception, other may think different) help me very much in improving my sites. This is why I thank mods in this forum for encouraging each member to be as good as they could.
      Solution: Only write useful post.
    2. My next mistake is creating thread in wrong location.
After getting my first warning, I was trying really hard to avoid getting warning again but ended up receive another warning. This is because I create thread in wrong location.
Surely there is sticky in each forum but 'new' member may have hard time finding the right forum for their new thread.
I have been in this forum for more than a year and have learnt simple thing. To find the right forum for our new thread, just use the "Search Function" available in each page at the upper section. Chance are there is another member already write same topic with what we really want to create. Just open the result and analyze it. By using the 'Breadcrumb/ Navigation', we would be able to find out the right location (forum/sub-forum) for our new thread. It is simple and also save us from creating duplicate threads. :)
Solution: Use search function and watch closely the breadcrumb/Navigation to find the right location for our new thread.
    D) Make use of Warning Points.
Warning points is not bad at all. Doing the mistake is what really bad.
I always look at my warning points whenever I open my profile. It make me remember not to do the same mistake and stay positive. I always say "Two is more than enough, I should try harder not to get another warning. It would be really embarrassing to get another warning. If I have to get a warning, it must be for great reason. Till then, stay away from doing mistake".

Warning points will expire in few months (depend on the mistake). My warning points expired few months ago. I didn't have warning points at this time and have no plan to add one or more in near future. :D

I wish to hear your own experience in few months later after your warning points expired. Stay positive, be helpful and avoid getting another warning. :)

    Arick.

Go to your profile page and click on warnings tab. Here you can check the expiry dates of your warnings and expired warnings.

So you can get warning points for posting in the wrong section? I still haven't figured out which section is which...Since I can't post in buy, sell or trade section that eliminates a few.

If you have a dedicated section, please post in that section only. Just because you are restricted to use BST (Buy Sell Trade), you cannot post those posts/threads in other open sections. Instead, try to get established.

Not surprising really, looking at your posts they probably won't be the only ones you get.
