Bloggers - Has commission transparency increased your sales?

Hi! I'm wondering if any bloggers here utilize commission transparency. You know, instead of hiding the fact that you're making commission from product links, making that info more transparent. I've seen bloggers do this in their sidebars or at the bottom of posts, in author bylines..

Has anyone seen an increase in sales due to this or are readers more turned off by it, would you say?

Any advice here would be great.
(I'd like to mention that I do have a disclosure policy on my blog where I list how much commission I may make but it's not really in-your-face as I've seen on other blogs.)

I think by being honest, you can get sales from people with are already familiar with affiliate commissions. If you were to hide it in your link and they find out subsequently, it might turn them off.

For people who are completely new to the idea, it might make them doubtful as they know you're trying to earn, and make them think that it is at their expense.

    So can work both ways.

The same as yours but I haven't seen an improvement in sales since starting to cloak my affiliate links. However I haven't placed an in your face "I make commission from this product" on my site yet to see if there's a difference. I'm worried my returning traffic will shy away from clicking links if they learn I make commission from sales, even if I remove the disclosure on my site.

I've seen many experienced marketers indicating that the cloaked link is an affiliate link. You could just put a simple "(affiliate link)" there.

Don't worry. I'm sure if you're providing real value to them, they'd be willing to join and learn from you.

That's true, I'm working on making my site more of an authority site but it's hard to when there's so much competition out there :)
