Okay, all right. Google's war on spam links is good news. "Go get them tiger!". But is it doing anything to ensure that a website does not suffer due to Google Bowling?
and google is not going to cut you a check or even care if you get caught up in the same land-slide as the spammers; they wont lose any sleep over it at all.... Your basket better include more then just relying on a ride from google.... because a google ride can end at any moment, without cause or reason... googles motto: We only care about our income; We dont care about yours...
This sounds like google: Google Rep: next, who's next in line for their 666 stamp across the forehead.....? Powered By Google - 666 People will be waiting in line for that too.... (just because it is from google)
Recent Matt Cutt's video said that they are testing every change to make sure that legit sites are not hurt. But as always someone gets hurt Link to video:
They are changing it all the time. Just be a good site, offer good content and focus more on telling people.
Remember, the corporation known as Google has one primary obligation — maximize returns to their stockholders. They are not in business to create opportunities for webmasters to score big. In order to do fulfill their obligations to the stockholders, they must work continually at providing a better search engine than their competitors (Bing, etc.). There's no dark conspiracy going on at Google headquarters. Their job, plain and simple, is to continuously offer to the public the best, most efficient, spam-free search engine.
most of spam is not working on google anymore, the people that make spam have no chance to have good rankings
hehe.. well, I agree that due to its nature, Google Bowling isn't a very prevalent practice (thank god!), but it is not non-existent.
If you are familiar with Google Bombs, then you already know half of it. Google Bowling is the same thing, except that you are paying someone to "bomb" a competitor and intentionally make them vulnerable to be penalized by the G algorithms and subsequently lose their ranks. To be fair, I haven't personally seen such cases but the creativeness of ones malicious mind never ceases to amaze me
