It's not so easy but I can give some starting points... What's the site focus on? News, Startegy, Forum, Blog... and what's the url?
Do you have any kind of advertising budget to work with? Most poker websites and business have massive advertising budgets which is why poker website publishers are making a mint. I would try and think of something viral. Maybe some poker tutorial videos or something which links back to your website.
Poker is tough! Especially now that the US market has been cut off. I got a poker site that gets 200 uniques per day and makes zilch. Not a dime in past year. thinking about removing all the gambling aff links so i can throw adsense onto it.
I know that. Thats why I said remove the links to the gambling sites and not promote actual gambling in any way. I have another poker site thats been running adsense for 2 years. Google tried to get me to take the ads off but i showed them that the site does not promote gambling. Simply a store to sell poker chips, tables, t-shirts and stuff. They said that was OK.
What kind of site is it? The type of poker site will also make a big difference, advertising for a poker tip site or forum will be a lot different than a whitelabel room for example
Playing poker in the US is not illegal, but running a poker company is. At least that's what I understand from hanging out in lots of online poker communities. Luckily, this means that the market hasn't lost many customers, since US players can just sign up with a European company and carry on losing.. I mean playing
Not if your credit card or bank account is from the US. I tried to sig... I mean a friend of mine tried to sign up on a poker site where you can play for real money, and they woudln't take his card becuase it was based in the US.
we do have a couple text links packages that would work for you. Pm me if you have any questions. or just take a look at our package www.guruwebllc.com
The laws are still somewhat unclear, and I'm not a lawyer, but as I understand it the act of processing monetary transactions associated with (unlawful) internet gambling is what's illegal in the US. Because many companies are unsure of exactly what this means, and the US government are still working out how they're going to enforce this ridiculous law, some poker operators will not take US customers. Any company operating outside of the US is entirely unaffected, since (despite what Mr Bush may think), America doesn't rule the world
That may be true, but currently every single poker site out there will refuse to take an American credit card or an American bank account. I've tri... i mean my friend ahas tried several.
Buy links from me that will help hehehe Alot of poker still available for USA.I also mix hotels in vegas and such with my online poker.
Currently, that's the only way I know of to get around the restrictions, but that's an awful lot of hassle just to pl,ay some on-line poker.
If you are a poker player and like playing online poker online and you are from the US i know lots of sites that has the right to accept US CC transations , the law in the US has not stoped all the online play for US players at all and in a few more months poker sites will be back on tracks the law will not hold up poker players are fighting back and we will win!
