Here are few points 1) Google is now looking for content that is more helpful to its audience than the one stuffed with keywords. The reason why most websites have been penalized is due to the excessive use of keywords. 2) Talking about quality backlinks, try not to get it from article directories. With the new Google algorithm update, this would be a disaster. You can get quality backlinks for 5 bucks through experienced guys on fiverr. 3) Dont go for paid traffic at all. Rather create a Facebook page and maintain it with regular updates. This works like magic. 4) You tube is another powerful tool to boost traffic. Again you can hire someone for 5 bucks on fiverr to make a video for you. Upload it and link your website. The traffic will automatically come with good content. The days of blackhat SEO is gone now!
what search engine is now looking forward for is Quality content !! So, i think give major focus on the content and cut out the spamming and you are automatically going to get search engine traffic.
Quality content is my number one focus. Ya right. You should see some of my sites. Ugly as hell and the content is 100% focused on getting them down the sales funnel. But guess what, they make money. And I'm not spending hours and hours writing Pulitzer Prize content, nor paying anyone else to. The truth of the matter is that an algorithm has no way of knowing what quality content is. It's not human. The only thing it can check for is over-optimization and duplicate content. That's it. Now onto talking about actual "search engine traffic" and ranking... A quality backlink source has these characteristics: Tons of link juice. Use PA/DA as your metrics. PR can be deceiving. Anything with PA > 30 is going to give you a nice boost. TF > CF > 10 The source has a clean backlink profile itself. You want mostly branded and URL anchors. I've tested the effects of getting links from sites that have been SEO'd at one point or another. It actually drops you in rankings The topic of the linking site is relevant to your site. Handwritten and copyscape passed. New: The source is not an article directory or guest post blog. Easy to cloak in a private network. Easiest way to get these links is to start your own network or rent links from someone who does. Don't buy in bulk. Just get 1-2 per week until you're page 1. It doesn't take much.
it really depends on what you are selling. 1000 visits and 1 sale is great if the traffic cost you $0 but this can also be a sign that your current rank will not last due to poor content and high bounce rate. Quality content will increase conversion rate with higher time on site and more page views. These are also quality indicators
Well written and useful content is the best way to rank good. Next thing is using low-competitive keywords. I use Long Tail Pro software. It really does a great job!
