Marketing a Service in USA / UK / Canada

Hello Tycoons..

I was a Successful Freelancer up till now since last 7 years but I noticed that the returning ratio of my clients was no more than 10 to 15% and that's why I thought to start my own business website and to cater customer by my own without the help of Freelancer platforms. Now my website is complete but I am a Designer and I don't know much about marketing and all.

I tried craiglist but while posting my service ad i got an phone verification which was only for US numbers but I am from Pakistan. I would like to know where should I post my service and what alternatives should I take to market my business at a large scale?

What's your niche? What you have in your website? Who is your target audience? What are you offering?

Marketing (in it's simplest definition) is knowing what product you sell or service to offer and tell the people the value you offer.

 

Have you tried http://www.backpage.com/ ? They are definitely #2 in the US after CL. Their biz opps section is open to any/every country I believe.
