adlogger question

I know many people use adlogger to have a better control over the IPs, clicks... but isn't this against Google's TOS? I mean if they wanted you to know the ip of someone who clicked on your ad, you could see this in your Adsense account, but Google keep this secret. I was thinking to try Adlogger, but is there any chance to be banned for using a third party software?

No I do not think it is against the TOS because adlogger does not change the adsense code in any way, it goes before and after it. This is just what I think I'm not 100% sure. I have used adlogger before btw.

its not against TOS because adlogger loggs the clicks and impressions without intrupting the adsense code, it place the ads in its own html elements and track those elements, so this should not be against TOS,

As mani says, your original AdSense code is left unaltered, as per Google's Terms of Service.

I do not see any section of the current ToS that indicates that you cannot keep logs of visitors to your web site in whatever way you choose - quite frankly, that seems absurd.

    Just my opinion.

    Cheers,

I'm using v1.21 - and as far as i can tell, there is no reason why it could/should/would be against G's TOS - but as always, don't take our word for it, send Adsense Support an email and see what they say (then post the answer) !

You are allowed to use ad logging programs. In fact people have been encouraged to do so....

I use a custom written one. It logs the IP's that are clicking on ads, which ads, where they came from, what page they were on, etc.

I also added code to display ads from adengage if they have clicked on google ads over a certain threshold.

I Emailed google asking what that magic number was and got a typical automated response that I should check the TOS. Support out there is a joke.

After watching the logs I had noticed several people had clicked on ads up to 7 times (different ads)....I had gotten no warning from google so I set my threshold at 5 clicks and so far I've had no problem.

I am curious if I should set a threshold for impressions...any thoughts?
