Check this out... PS> Source: http://www.computers.net/2006/12/free_advertisin.html Microsoft: Go to the $200 free offer page to get started with Microsoft AdCenter and use promo code DM-2-1106 (also listed on site) before January 15, 2007. This $200 of free advertising requires a charge of $5 (so I lied, that makes it actually $195 of free advertising). Google: Click here to sign up for Google AdWords and take advantage of their Christmas season $50 advertising coupon. No expiration date seems to be listed for this one (but that doesn't mean there isn't one). LookSmart: Follow this link to sign up for LookSmart and make sure to use promo code SESCHQ4 at check-out for your $300 credit. This offer is good for first time LookSmart advertisers only and your daily budget must be set to $10 or higher, meaning you can only freeload for a maximum of 30 days. Also, this offer expires December 25, 2006. Ask: Go to this sign up page and enter promo code SESCHI06 during the check-out process. So there you have it, $600 of free advertising to get you started with whatever online presence you might have. Thanks to ProBlogger and Paul Allen. Thanks all, Enjoy it (kiss my rep maybe)
Coupon code for Microsoft adCenter does not work for me! I got an error that the promo code is US specific and will not work with other countries. I called their support and they said they have this restriction that promo codes work just for US residents! They said that they are gonna widen up the market in early 2007 and only then maybe they will have promo codes which work with other countries.
The one for LookSmart works and they charge you nothing on your credit card.... $300 free The others all charge you though I think.. a minimum of £5-10 So, LookSmart is the only good one there if you're looking to spend nothing
I created a new account to benefit from this offer but then I forgot to put the promotional code I tried to create another account then I figured out that this is not valid for canada, offer valid only for the US
Looksmart and Ask charged me $1. I've had a AdWords account for ages so I have no idea if there is a charge there. I also have a MS AdCenter account so also don't know their deal. The other thing you might want to watch is the recharge. They will automatically change 3 x your min daily budget when you run low. So if you are running a big budget to use up the "free" money you might get bitten by a big recharge if you don't watch it.
Thanks everybody, hope you enjoyed those And by the way, alext made a nice suggestion which is to be aware of the recharges. Just as the promo cash is ended, hit the account delete button
thats a common practice - if you forget to cancel this offer later you end up in a contract. must be somewhere in the fine print...
tried looksmart its telling me "Coupon Code has a minimum qualifying charge of $300.00" Looks like they might have changed it.. my bad luck.
Try setting your "refill" or what ever it says to 300$ when you sign up. Once account is created, change it to 30$ (in case you forget to cancel your campaign).
I am seeing some nice results from LS in terms of traffic and bid prices. Ask on the other hand is not doing so well even running the same exact ads and keywords. Depending on ROI I may keep LS going but at this point I doubt I will continue with Ask. The interface on these system is not bad and I seem to be getting better ad placement than Google. (I gave up on MS AdCenter a while ago...) Again on the "recharge". It is keyed to your daily budget and current balance. If your balance drops below 3 x your daily budget they are going to charge you. So when your balance starts dropping, lower your daily budget at the same time so you can use as much of the free money up as possible. (assuming you do not want to recharge it). I give you this warning as a result of learning the hard way
