Is paypal chargeback possible on a donation?

    Hi, I bought a product but used "donate" option as requested by buyer. If I dont receive the product, can I file a dispute ?

    There isn't much you can do about it . however if you search google there are some solutions provided by Paypal users

    Why "donate" when you "buy" a product? This might be a scam.

    Thanks guys, I figured a chargeback might not be possible but luckily I did get the refund. phew !

    If paypal used you credit card to charge money than chargeback is possible with your credit card company.

    This is not always the case. Some credit card company does not handle this kind of disputes.

    Great that you got a refund, next time make sure to know the difference of buying and donating. You were lucky you got a refund, in some cases other people won't refund the money most especially if its a large amount. Be careful next time.

    Actually if you have VISA or MasterCard issued by your credit card company they must proceed with chargeback if you ask them. Chargeback is a part of VISA MasterCard services.
