MindMedia, my advice for you is shouldn't discuss anything with people who don't have any clue of what they're talking about. Instead, spend your valuable time to help others who really need right information.

PS: your point is probably right, deliver value and build relationship/trust with your leads is the best way to monetize a list. However, in MMO niche, for instance, it's far more difficult to deliver REAL value (if you own a method to make good money, will you share with other for FREE/low price, it's the problem with MMO niche), so there is another model called "churn & burn" that exists. More detailed, what you should do is boost your leads number as high as possible, than SPAM them (swap/sell solo/sell affiliate). I already tested with both models, and found that both of them can bring money well, but "churn & burn" model is far less effective, more pricey (because of big list size -> high fee of autoresponder service), less safe (high complaint rate) and not sustainable (you have to constantly earn new leads via solo/PPC because your list would be less and less resonsive).

 

Good points. Thanks for posting! I noticed that most subscribers at least from my lists only buy within the first 1-3 emails "churn & burn". I am split testing my email series and offers to see if I can improve my ROI and create a better email list. Still lots to learn and test.

 

Thank you for your post. I'm very new for online marketing and just starting to use solo ads to drive traffic. But your advise really helpful. I totally agree with you. Leads from ads swap or solo ad are less value and no trust. ROI very low.
