Hi, Can anyone please confirm with reference link that "will 302 redirect or meta refresh pass PR value". Thanks Naveen
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_302 no, 302 is a temporary redirect, it does not pass any pr value, it just tells the browser ( and google) that the content it is looking for , has been temporarily moved to another url if you wish to pass pr etc, then use a 301 redirect thats a PERMANENT redirect.
Per Google, NO. but there are no such case studies as well to prove that it does or it doesn't (I didn't find any, if there are) And, even if you review the technical aspects so it should not pass any strength, since it's a temporary arrangement and instructions are clearly defined for search engines that this page exist but not accessible for temporary and will be live soon. So, ideally Google should not pass any link juice/ PR to other page
So in this case if i redirect my panalyzed (penguin or bad backlink panelty) domain to 3rd domain than i will be safe?? Because all the link/PR value will be limited with my old domain. Please see: http://moz.com/community/q/does-a-302-redirect-pass-penalties. Thanks Raghwendra
