We created a Pinterest a week or so ago and were hoping to get in to show up within the first 5 or six search results. However it isn't showing up in the search results page at all! The brand name is in the title and description. Any ideas on how I can get our pinterest page within the 1st 5-6 search results? Also the blog show up when I google 'blog brand name" but doesn't appear when I just search for the brand name by itself. Could this be because we only about 5 posts so far?
You need to be patient. You can try those online pinging services with your Pinterest URL and your Blog URL to get the search engines to index your links faster. You can also get active on those Popular Pinboards and show your Love / Repins (search engines take note of activities and index faster so you may ride on it). You should post engaging content as well and if you manage to attract enough attention... it's really a matter of time that your site gets ranked higher.
I agree. Continue to pin pics and create detailed descriptions for each one. There is a lot of competition to rank and it takes time and effort.
It takes a while for your page to appear on SERP. It doesn't appear overnight. You have to consistently work on your account and the rest of social your social media accounts too.
@briguy check out www.pinterest.com/popular for those popular pinterest boards. @Digitallychallenged you can definitely use that and there are many more pinging services online so just do a search for them. Don't focus too heavily on pinging but on the engagements.
