    I want to run this poll to see how many people ever actually click advertisements on webpages from personal computers or cell phones.

    Don't include responses that are accidental clicks.

    My theory is that people are becoming blind to ads, and the entire right column of a typical blog or website loaded with ads is simply a waste of real estate.

    I think that people ignore ads that are in the usual places...that's why a lot of people have put ads above, in, and below the content.

    For how long that'll work is anyone's guess...I feel like building up to a contextual link, or a call-to-action button would yield the best results.

    Personally I never click on Google Ads but have occasionally clicked FB ads that relate to my niche interests such as fitness. We have found success in PPC campaigns but this is not a one size fits all method for all businesses! --Lauren

    The fact that people spend billions every year on ads means that people obviously do click on the. Companies aren't spending money for nothing.

    I click ads only when I am looking to buy something. It's not very frequent. But once I click, I click all the ads to find the best product to buy. That's me :)

    Actually as marketer we know what is ads and what not. so i never click on ads , yes its bad for site owner. but to consume my time it really help me

    It really depends on the topic you're searching for. When looking for information especially when its important (health issue) or something you are passionate about, you will click at anything that might find the answer for you.

    Doing this poll on the DP forum alone will not get you the actual legitmate results if your trying to see if people generally click on ads because the majority of the members(if not all) are all internet and tech savy and so we tend to completely ignore the ads because of the fact that we already know that there on the site to bring in revenue to the particular sites admin.

    On the other hand non-dp members for example your average internet user doesn't know too much about Internet advertising and how bloggers make their money and so forth so when they see an ad, to them it will NOT appear as an ad but instead will appear as if its an extension of the site they're on itself and so because of their lack of knowledge about internet advertsing they will not have the conscious astigmatism towards clicking ads , so they will more then likely occasionally click ads.

    sorry to ramble on and on but i'm just saying if you want real un-biased results for this poll you should think about doing on all type of forums as well:) just my 2 cents in(again sorry for the ramble)

    I am not an ad clicker, but I have been tricked a few times because the ad look so real to the
    site I was on, I clicked on it a few times to do what I was needing to go...

    everyone has different nature and interests...
    What may not interest me, may interest millions others...

    I never click on text ads, but some well constructed image,video ads will tend me sometimes .... Hmmm note the point publishers !!!
