    I personally use dreamweaver for the purpose of having the ability to quickly reference what you are creating. I never edit anything in its WYSIWYG editor. I also use Editpad Lite.

    It used to be Frontpage when I began, then HomeSite, then HTML-Kit (free), then Dreamweaver (had to work with templates on some project and stuck with it). I like how I can use the GUI to select an element and then switch to code view to change it. Beats going through all the code or doing a search on long pages.

    There are many html editor . Some people use Notepad ++ and some people use WebORama. I personally use Dreamweaver. Its very easy to use and also free. Its give you suggestion when you writing HTML in it. Its highlights your erorr.

    Do not expect truth or facts out of one sentence "me too" wonder-posters in a bump of a five year old thread filled with one sentence wonder-posters, none of whom say anything of value and most of whom are Dreamweaver using halfwits...

    Since the only thing you can learn from that fat, bloated, overpriced steaming pile of bull is how NOT to build a website. As has been said many times, the only thing about Dreamweaver that can be considered professional grade tools are the people promoting it's use.

    I prefer notepad for editing html.

    Notepad is better because it use less ROM

    sorry It require less RAM not ROM
