My web site is currently hosted by midPhase. My hosting plan expires at the end of this month and before I just renew with them, I wanted to find out if there were any less expensive hosting solutions out there that could offer the same service and features. midPhase services and features (ProPHASE package): (1) Responsive - I've emailed support a few times over the past year and got a response within hours. (2) Reliable - 99.9% uptime guarantee (3) Unlimited domain hosting (4) Unmetered bandwidth (5) 35GB disk space (6) Free domain for life (7) 3 MySQL databases, phpMyAdmin, perl and my own cgi-bin (8) PHP enabled (9) POP3 or IMAP email (unlimited aliases) with forwarding capability (10) Awstats and Webalizer (11) FTP access (12) PayPal support (13) Self-signed SSL (14) midPhase CPanel All this is $11.95/mo. and since I've never used another hosting company, I don't know if this is expensive or not. Looking around DP forums, I *think* it may be but I don't know if the other hosts offer everything that midPhase does. I plan on starting a couple more sites as well as a directory, so all the features listed are important to me. How does your hosting compare? Any good alternatives? I look forward to your comments and suggestions. Thanks - V Shameless plug (however, NOT the reason for this post as I really am interested in finding a less expensive hosting solution - if there is one - that offers all the features found above): midPhase also has an affiliate program so if you're interested in their hosting services, please click on any of the midPhase banners found at the bottom of all pages at http://www.dishdealsdirect.com

http://www.servage.net/?coupon=s10forum Is a great web host. 250 Gb storage 2100 Gb/monthly bandwidth for $7.50 a month! I've used it for oh' 5 months now and havn't had a problem yet. Very nice control panel too. Summary: Servage.com Web Hosting 250 GB storage, 2100 GB monthly bandwidth for $7.50 a month
If anyone has that big site, get your own server much more safer and cheaper, run all your sites on one. oh and remember theres no such thing as "Unlimited"
HostGator has good support from my experience. They have unlimited sites shared hosting as well. If your site is not so big and don't eat much server resource, Hostgator seems fine with you. Below is some coupon I used in the past to get first month Free at Hostgator (actually it cost you 1 cent ). Normal charge/month is $9.95 but with coupon you get $9.94 Off and they don't force you to pay annual or long term contract to get discount, that's great for u to leave or join with them any time without paying anything upfront. Here some Codes to pick one, try when signup (I'm not guarantee the effective of the codes, u got to notice the total fee when submit the code). Hostcritique Jury Hgc25 (I've no affiliate nor get any profit from this host, just want to share the host that I've a positive experienced with...)
Agreed!! They have changed something recently..About the "baby package",it was only 5GB disk space and it's 100GB now,it's a bargain IMO!
I say go with someone like Bluehost. They have almost 100% uptime and great support. Besr of all, they offer very affordable prices.
Ok, so I've got: http://www.hytekhosting.com - cheap and pretty reliable http://www.steadfast.net - amazing support, uptime, and serve ... thanks drig http://www.servage.net ... thanks aqrhine Dreamhost ... thanks Correctus Hostgator ... thanks sixav and Richie_Ni Bluehost ... thanks qwestcommunications That's it? Anyone else have a host they'd like to suggest?
I also use hostgator, I contacted them because I needed wildcard dns enabled for my domain, I recevied a reply under 2 hours later saying it was done! So I recommend Hostgator as well!
I use: scorpiondata.com (for my "illegal" sites. great support, allow warez/porn and cheap) one.com (for small sites, just cheap) axohost.com (use this one for my bigger sites. good support, cheap and good uptime) manufrog.com (new to this one, had it for only 1 month. cheap, good support) for my domains: spray.se (awsome controlpanel and cheap)
I recently used A Small Orange for a client's site. The experiance was decent. There were a couple of complaints about slowness during peak times. A number of other clients have been using http://www.hosix.com for their sites. They're not cheap but they offer a good service at a fair price.
Agree with this - I have a few small sites hosted by them, quite happy. Plus with their coupon offer, it's a great deal.
I use axishost as I more concerned about quality then saving a few bucks a month. No downtime so far and my support tickets have all been answered within 10 mins at most.
I have 2 dedicated servers..One from Softlayer and other from Layered Technologies. Both are simply awesome.I recieve response to my support tickets within 10 minutes which is great! Saad
