Best Web design software..... Is it Dreamweaver?

Dreamweaver is the best software for this i Guss. you should try this.

 

It up to you that how you going to build the website. If you know well HTML/CSS and little programming then notepad++ is good but if you don't know coding then uses of content management system is easy for you to develop the website such as Wordpress CMS, Joomla CMS etc.

 

I would, recommend dreamweaver because, it's a lot more easier to understand as a newbie.

 

ya dreamweaver is a good framework to make interactive websites..for this you also required some knowlegde od HTML and CSS..

 

Personally I just use Windows Live Writer nice and simple.

 

Although we have so many programs that can be used as web designing.but i prefer to use dreamweaver due to its interface and easy to operate functions.

 

No doubt, Dreamweavor is the best option for the user to make websites.

 

If your knowledge is good about html and Css then you can easily wirte it in any editor. Some people use notpad ++ and some people use RapidWeaver. But I think Adobe Dreamweaver is best of all . Because when you start writing in it it give suggestion for you.

 

+1. You can use a lot of freeware available as Dreamweaver alternative if you are good with coding.

 

I've been using openElement almost exclusively lately. It's powerful and free. Great support too.

Dreamweaver is the best option for the designing purpose for coding purpose I use PHP Designer (which is better in terms of coding because you will easily write error free HTML coding but not designing purpose.)

 

All you need is notepad++, everything else is just excess and not really worth it. Especially if you're going to pay for it.

 

If you have tight budget...go for Coffeecup HTML editor.

 

I've just started using Bootstrap, the templates are awesome online & cheap, then I use PineGrow to edit the templates, not as easy as dreamweaver or coffeecup - but the elements it brings to the table are similar to a CMS - great alternative to using wordpress.

 

What kind of elements does it add? And why is it more difficult than dreamweaver and coffeecup

Coffeecup & Dreamweaver aren't specifically for Bootstrap, PineGrow is specifically a Bootstrap editor, so it has all the CSS, JS & all the files ready to go, you just save your work in a folder with all the files that your site would need, and edit away. It's tricky, but I have only been using it for 3 days & the site looks OK considering.

 

Would you say it is worth the 50 dollars?

 

I looked for an alternative, all the editors are based online for bootstrap & I struggled to find any that supported importing templates, they all have a default template & you need to build your own. So if you want to easily edit templates then this is the best option that I found. You can open the htm files in Coffeecup or dreamweaver - but I didn't try. I tried the Pinegrow editor for 2 days - you get the full version for 3 days for free to try - & I was sold. $50 is reasonable, it's the price of a wordpress premium theme isn't it? And if you buy the pack like I did for $9 - you can change them a little & resell them as they come with a developers license... so there's some money back if you're into that side of things.
