Hi all, i've found what i believe to be a niche keyword, it has low competition and 1600+ searches monthly, i'm thinking of purchasing a domain tomorrow. But i don't want to spend money without fully knowing what i'm getting into. Will i have to purchase the product i'm looking to promote or could i sell for a company? I don't know where to look, it's a relativelt new yet popular product, how could i research more into this niche market before spending? What could i read up on to help me beggin increasing my page rank? Just anything to help me (a complete newb) put my ideas/product live in the quickest way possible. Thanks
Without knowing your product it's hard to say. Does the manufacturer make affiliate or dropshipping arrangements? Is there more than one manufacturer?
Hi, after looking around on the web there's affiliate programs that offer 15% commission, although i found one that offered 30%. Is it worth noting that both Amazon and eBay have the item in stock, and when searching the items name in Google the top results are as followed - 1. eBay 2. Amazon 3. Gumtree then after are a few related websites that have te item for sale. I'm trying to give as much detail without giving away what it is, greatly appreciate the help.
If I have to venture a guess it sounds something like using the acai berry to lose weight(for example) Which of course turned out to be a huge load of shit. http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=acai berry does that help lol? Fly by night sorta stuff irritates me but I am not really an internet marketing guy in that sense. I work with brands to be human and awesome and do things that are sustainable. I should probably wing a few things but it seems to me that my time is better served making a difference rather than fleecing folks with nonsensical products. Just thinking out loud. My angst is not directed at you. Nigel
It's not like that product, no. I actually agree with what youre saying. The item i'm looking to push is proven to be the healthier option. Thanks for your help.
Still sounds sorta fly by night to me but that tool should be fairly helpful. If you want to shoot me a pm with the product in question I am happy to take a look. You certainly don't have to worry about me jumping into that fray. I am booked for a few months as it is. Nigel
Listen, when buying a domain try and find one as old as possible because that is the most important thing for SEO rather than it containing the right keywords.
I wouldn't worry about keywords in domain these days to be honest. I'd much rather go for a brandable, easy to remember domain In terms of research - check out how much the clicks cost in Adwords for related terms - the more expensive, the more competitive the niche (rough guide!) - Also check sites like SEMRush. Look at who's in the space already... how well do they seem to be doing? Try throwing their URL into compete.com and alexa - see what info you can find out about them A few things like that can help to build up a picture of a niche
If you're completely new to SEO though (I think you said you are) - be prepared to spend a lot of time reading - And be careful... there is lots of dodgy and outdated SEO advice out there in the WWW!
