    Hi All,
I suppose this is the write section to post this, if not Moderators please don't patch a warning on my lol

I a looking for a software to mirror / download a html site with all its local references and paths ( js/css/html/images etc ) maintaining the original folder/file structure as on the actual site

Currently using WinHTTrack, having a bit of hard time as when I download the same either a script wont function or actual references are changed

Any good app you guys know of ?

Try Using PageNest. I have an article on that too. Go to Mstoic.com. Scroll down a little bit and you will find an article "Download Website For Offline Reading"

I have seen your replies around the forum mister, and believe me they are more blunt, bland and pointing out other's mistakes rarely helping them out. I would advice there's unknown and a very little time for everyone on this earth, so lets make the best out of it. Rest is your choice sitting in front of your Pea Sea, leaving een Yo Our Owe Un War Ald.

If you have something in you, show it with your work not by your words.

    @Hemant Aggarwal , thanks mister.

I used to do that in the SEO forum because folks don't listen. There are some of us that get a bit testy when people clog up the tubes with nonsense. You may not like his delivery... but he up there in the top 3 programmers here. Hands down. If he didn't care about folks doing stuff right I am fairly certain he wouldn't bother making very long and comprehensive posts explaining things in great detail.

I am not so sure there is a real legit reason to go pointing httrack at someone else's site either. If someone needs to glean some info rightclick>view source should be sufficient. Perhaps that is what is irritating him in this case but I am not going guess what he is thinking.

    just thinking out loud,
    Nigel

He was quoting on my English here, I missed lot of characters while typing, I agree but didn't notice it.Anyways.

No one's asking to improve judge their listening/speaking/written skills unless this was a translation/language site ( to which deathshadow pointed out , and I pointed out him above for ), agree his posts are knowledgeable even I have liked them personally. But have seen him talking that way to many, which does not makes any point and no ones invites the same either. Go do this on the street , and if you are lucky, you find a person just like your mentality; you surely will return back with a wounded face with a lot of face punches and then my friend no one would spare a word for your qualifications or your top ranks.

I do not personally care if he is in top 3 or even the top ranked person, if you are not good to people better wrap up all your knowledge and shit it in the bin. Its good for nothing, you got knowledge to help others not to sit on the top and make silly jokes/statements.

I am no one to judge, rest remains Intelligence.

    EDIT:
As for the HTTrack goes, I was just looking into it for reference. If you see I could have already COPIED from view source if I wanted to merely COPY the code.

    Thanks.

MODS after 11 days of this topic being posted, have received a warning. May I know why ? Can you explain me how and why was this in wrong forum , AND HOW Scripts is the right forum for this ? Havn't you just over used your powers here ? I was 100% correct and asked this in HTML forum where other people had posted similar/same topics earlier ? OR is it just because TODAY I reported Deathshadows post above ? This is ridiculous.

In most browser hitting Ctrl + U will bring up the full source of the document. Ctrl + A to select all (duh) and then copy paste it to were you want it! Fastest way I think. If you want resources with it, scripts and images for example try Ctrl + S. In that way you can save the current webpage with files in a folder. Of course it wont work for everything and image sources will sometimes break anyway.

    Hope it helps!

I actually agree on the move -- makes no sense; winHTTTrack is NOT a CMS script for starters... In fact CMS scripts have jack **** to do with what you are asking about so yes, WRONG forum area for it to be moved to. I'd have thought the normal programming area being the spot to ask something like this.

But your broken engrish moist goodry filled with malapropisms makes it look like a spam post, and you are basically asking to do something (cloning someone else's design and copy) that is frowned upon amongst civilized site owners.

Some people even go out of their way to try and block what you are asking to do (impossible, but they try).

In terms of actually doing it, with so many sites reliant on scripting now, and so many sites lacking anything remotely resembling accessibility or graceful degradation -- any automated tool is just going to miss stuff. Same reason so many people sit around scratching their heads as to why their ajax-tard bull (like scripted tabs) fails to get indexed in the search engines.

Really though, you didn't say what site you're trying to rip, making it very hard to dial in a working solution.

DeathShadow I actually posted this in HTML section, as I thought it was the right place. I have NO clue at all why this was moved in Scripts at all ? Even I before posting SAW many same/similar topics of old dates in the same section, still I was the one warned *sigh*

Thanks for your message, will go through it.

    EDIT

As far as my English is concerned , give me some classes will come over to see your skills mister, if you are great enough :D

Agree to your Script related information, even that tool when I used it missed lot of code and even the directory structure all I got was random numbers in files/folders. But peace with it, I am moving on with other important things.

    Thanks for your input.
