Is writing articles still a good way to get your brand out there?

Writing articles still has a place in internet marketing, but it is not nearly effective as in once was. Whenever I write an article, I also create a video, and I create a Slideshare from my article.

It helps get traffic and definitely has helped my business grow considerably.

Articles are good to inform your customer base ONCE they are on your site. Articles for getting your brand out there? Not so much unless you are an incredibly powerful scribe...

As long as you are knowledgeable about the subject, you dont have to be Mark Twain. People have questions about things and want answers. Deliver them that information and build you loyalty.

    Good Luck!

Articles can be great for getting your "Brand" to the marketplace... as long as you are delivering
    valuable content that is helpful.
As with any business, it's ALL about the customer and helping them by fulfilling their needs, wants
    and desires.
There are many avenues for promoting your "Brand".
Article marketing is one of many.

Writing articles is definitely effective to market your brand and increase its value. If the content of the articles is original, of high quality and optimized for search engines (i.e. contains the most searched-for and popular keywords etc.), it gets indexed quickly. Your business starts to appear in top search results which boosts website traffic tremendously. The articles should especially have content that is useful, informative and contain stuff that people are interested in reading. Such content goes viral quickly and increases the number of your website visitors in a short time.

Things have changed in the past few years - what used to be article marketing is now - content marketing. Quality is a top priority now - but if done properly, it's much more affective as well.

Don't go for the regular 500 words of copyscape pass quality - rather write something that is truly valuable. Give it some time, do 2 to 3 such articles a week - aim for quality over quantity.

Spread the content over other web2.0 platforms - make video of it, make slides, share on the social media, do a pdf download option etc.

Content was always valuable and it still is - just make sure that you keep quality in check.

I think so if you share your thinking on internet, people will love your nice thinking and ideas . By doing this your brand will be more popular to people

High quality, unique, relevant content will always drive traffic to your site. It should be more audience driven, not SE driven. When you provide solutions to specific target audience, they will come to you for what you offer to them. Incorporate other SEO techniques too to sell. The bottom line is, why are you generating the content? It should be to offer solutions to specific problems. And let the solutions be top notch!

I agree. Articles are still great but Youtube it the best.
Don't forget to include transcript for each Youtube video
    for better SEO ranking...

I agree. Uploading article to document sharing sites like Slideshare, scribd, etc is somewhat new way but effective. I have done this method and I get a lot of traffic from it. Just keep writing and post your article to high PR web 2.0 with link to your site.

I think it's wright if your article content will be good but your article must be different from other and spam free. If you can do it, i hope you will be success.
