This is one of my blog.... www.socialpositives.com Its just near your Alexa Ranking calculations.... Can you calculate how much i can earn with Adsense search box?
You are having an Alexa ranking of 52,239. That's fantastic. You should be earning a lot. Maybe I should engage you to provide consultancy service, LOL.
nope. WUTZAT - is just my personal blog , when I get bored, I have DIY repair websites , where I used a custom Google search box / engine that is available via adsense, I also have large websites and 800 videos on YouTube, I am not your average guy
Lol............................ Don't calculate a websites income or traffic just with their Alexa Rankings because if your site gets 10,000 unique visitors per day and only 10% of them would be using Alexa toolbar, here Alexa calculates you get 1000 visitors. The remaining visitors probably won’t be counted..... You might be notices Technology or SEO related blogs easily get higher Alexa rankings because Alexa toolbar is more likely to be installed on their and their friends, niche workers browsers. Alexa Rankings is not too much dependable for considering a website’s total traffic.
Anzilone, you are right. I've heard of that before but for me, it's a fair enough indication... especially for seeing whether my website ranks higher or lower over the months.
Is possible to show your blog? I'm interested to see how you placed the ads and search box................
Anzilone, my website is http://malaysiafactbook.com/Encyclopedia_of_Malaysia It's always said that you should put your ads above the fold but when I did that for my 728 x 90, I don't get many clicks. At present, I put it at the bottom of the article and it has consistently given me the most clicks every day. The skyscraper in the sidebar doesn't produce much clicks. I have recently changed it from right to left. (At one time, the advice was to put it on the right panel, but for me, left or right, I found that the result is the same.) There are 2 other websites in my signature below, but I have not put in the ads in many of its pages. The one above is more complete.
My most lucrative ad is the one at the bottom of the post too, then right sidebar, then one on the top.
I have Alexa of 3,316,457 to my biggest site. Never bothered with Alexa.. what does this mean? if i am not wrong the smaller the better right?
On the contrary, I'd say that more, better real estate should be given to that adsense search box. Personnally I've improved the look of the search box by putting a shadow below the input box and making that input box larger, centered at the top of the content. Cannot be missed. And it is an important useful tool for your visitors so they can browse your site faster and find what they want : - I limit the search to my own site - I display the results on my own page (I use the given code to embed the results)
Depending on your website I would't focus too much attention on it. It will only make money when you integrate the search box very good at your website and you return the results to your own website.
Anzilone... seems like after I put the 728 x 90 banner at the top, my revenue seems to have increased quite substantially (unlike before). Do you have any comments regarding my new placement? 4 ads would be good for my site so that I can have one flexible one to toy with, but then again, AdSense only allow three. http://health.jbdirectory.com/Health_and_wellness
Really happy to hear that. The new placement of 728 x 90 banner is comfort for your blog.... As normal publisher you are not allowed to put more than 3 ad units on a single page..... I think 3 units is enough...
Thanks, Anzilone, for the reply. The 728 x 90 at the bottom has been consistently bringing me some money everyday. The 160x90 doesn't perform as well. The last time, I tried to bring the 729 x 90 from the bottom to the top, and it didn't pay me anything for a week. I didn't use 2 sets of codes for the present two 728 x 90 to see which one is performing better. Maybe I ought to do that in a day or two. Kinda lazy lately, LOL.
Don't worry, Gedamet... I started off with less than US$1.00 in May 2008, after about a year. I think I might exceed US$100 this month. I missed last month by a few dollars. By the way, can I have a look at your site?
I don't use the Google Search Box... one click for 1 cent, so I took it away because it messed up my website search results.
