I've got quite a few Google ads on my site and I'm switching things around, looking at stats, and which ads are being clicked on. In other words, I'm looking at which ads are bring money in. I tried the Google search box and I've earned about .01 cent, but it doesn't seem to be getting used a lot. I'm thinking that valuable real estate can be used for something else. Are you making money with the Google search box?
I took it away after I see 0.01 cent per click for a few months. I thought it was just not worth it, given that my search page was kinda messy.
$1 with Google Search Box? I don't think I even made 10 cents, that's why I took it away. If I make $1, I will leave it there. You must be making a lot from AdSense ads, then.
Thanks for the responses! I could use that valuable web page real estate, which is "above the scroll" for some Commission Junction ads. I just figured at this point, Google would pay more, since I have a new site. I thought I was making pennies (literally) because my site was new. It seems like that ad option is not very lucrative. I'd love to hear stories of someone making $100 per month with this Google search box.
Me too. I'm using also using Google search box on my Technology blog but earnings are very less just around 1 or 2 USD.
Do tell, do tell. If you are making $100 per month with the Google search bar, that's wonderful. How old is your site? How much traffic are you getting? If people are making pennies, I can't imagine that this would be a wise business decision. I work in advertising for my day job at a very large newspaper and ad real estate is valuable. The place where I have this box is in a prime location. It would be more lucrative for me to rent the space for $5 per month! LOL. I'm just trying to get a sense of its value before I remove it from the site.
According to me its really hard to make $100 per month only with Google search bar. If we want to reach that amount per month people should think that our blog is a small 'encyclopedia' ...........................
Me thinks it is an impossibility, unless you are well inside Alexa's top 50,000 ranking. One of my site has an Alexa ranking of 235,000 and I can hardly reach $100 a month with Adsense, what more with the search box!
