Can anyone give me some tips on ranking well in Youtube.

I mean what is the criteria for being in top 10 in Youtube?

It's basic SEO, but it does so much to make your videos easier to find on YouTube. Also, knowing your target audience is important. It's very interesting to see how different the search results for "favorite films of 2013" and "favourite films of 2013" are.

2. Add links at the top of the description field for each video
3. Make the first 15 seconds count
4. Add tags to your channel and videos

One way to increase ranking on specific videos, you should try the following:
change your channel name to the keyword you are trying to rank for.
Change your category to news/politics.
Create social and normal backlinks to your video.
Include the keyword you want to rank for in the description and title of the video and on your channel.

I think first of all your video should be interesting, because 1000 of videos is uploaded in youtube, but you have to make your video as a best video ever, so you have to think that how you make your video interesting that people can feel more interested about your video.

Second thing is that you video should not be so long, I mean no body want to watch lengthy video, you have to describe your all characteristics in short time period and make it more and more interesting

Now the next point is make your Title, description catchy, that when visitors read your description then he/she definitely watch your video.
Next is put your video is its correct category and optimize your video with its appropriate keywords.

Promote your videos on social media sites and of course you should also participate in comment box of others video because when you do this then people gets aware about you.
