2014 Predictions for the directory market

What are your 2014 predictions for the directory market? Anything specific or more of the same?

 

Only google know how about directory.

 

WTF are you talking about?

 

There will be a resurgence of web directories. People will start buying the new .directory extensions next month and building some awesome new directories. Google will acknowledge that web directories are a force to reckoned with and their place and value will be solidified once and for all.

Of course the haters will continue to hate and the naysayers will continue with their same old tired rhetoric while the directory owners that stayed the course and didn't listen to all the trash talk and continued building good directories will be laughing all the way to the bank.

 

Not sure but google is considering that links from directory are not high treatment as links from rich content article. And the truth is people gets scare of directories . Just my thought.

 

High PR directories will continue without any problem but other directories will run over. According to my hope...

 

More and more people will realize that a database full of outbound links is completely worthless.

 

Case in point!

 

Directory's these days are just too spammy. It's a shame though as they used to be a valuable resource. Just couldn't do anything about the scrapers, spammers et al.

 

I predict many more directory owners will realize that their industry has collapsed and will move on to something else.

 

Many of them runs on expired domains. That is only PR passes and nothing more than this.

 

I predict more niche directories and non-English local directories.

 

I think you're right. More niche directories and more local/non-english directories

 

Its totally waste of time, money and Google do not acknowledge directories links as a spam

Yes i know what i am upto mate... but due to directories and classified backlinks my websites got slapped by Google... I am not against any community but i am telling true story based on facts

Dear...
time --- submitting links and waiting for approval takes a lot of time...
Money --- resources, man power, lower product sales( business growth)..

i hope know you got my point..
