    The ONLY way to move up Alexa rankings is to get visits from people using the Alexa toolbar. That's how Alexa works.

    Install the toolbar yourself for starters, and visit every day.

    Then it's just a question of traffic - specifically visitors with the toolbar installed.

    You could ask people you know to install the toolbar and visit your site. That would help a little, but you would need a lot of people doing that to see significant results.

    For this you need to do SMO activities like work on social networking site. Increase visitors and like on Facebook and Increase followers on Twitter and also work on LinkedIn, Pinterest etc.

    I agree that social media activities are very helpful to drive traffic and Alexa rank decreases when you get lots of traffic on your website.

    Why? Alexa is a useless metric that is used for and counts for nothing.

    I also find it rather odd that you offer SEO services and need to ask this question. You must be some sort of fraud if you offer SEO services and do not know the answer to this question.
