    Welcome to my auction! Its a very rare opportunity that you see an AUTHORITY site like this on Flippa. You are bidding on a one of a kind established website that is at the top of its class. Android-Apps.com is one of the leading Android App sites for reviews, ratings and information about android apps and devices.

    History

    Android-Apps.com was started November 5th, 2007 before there was even a Google Play market. Android-apps.com gained many of its followers in this time period. It was the only place you could go and find android apps online.

    Flipping

    When we purchased this site it was lacking in many places. It's SEO had dropped tremendously and it was no where near the first page for its most dominant keyword, "android apps". Being as that keyword is in the domain, we found it crazy that it was no where to be found. The design was hard to look at and the user experience was terrible.

    Here is a list of all the things when did on the flip:

    1. Implement a strong SEO campaignto bring the site back up to the 1st page for its main keyword 'android apps'. On our data-center, it is currently ranked 5th for the keyword and its other keywords have risen as well (resulting in higher traffic).
    2. Better user experience. We separated everything out into sections to create a better user experience. We also added some new content sections (devices, lists). This also goes into SEO as the new sections are in the new URL structure.
    3. Add more content. As mentioned before, we added a few new content sections: devices (has most android powered devices), list (top list of android apps), News (list android news).
    4. Fix performance issues. Even though the site is Wordpress, there are many custom actions used to pull and view android apps. We completely redesigned the custom actions to give higher speed and better performance to the site.
    5. Increase social presence. When we got the site, it was losing followers fast. We have got the site up to over 3,000 Facebook fans and over 5,000 Twitter followers and growing!

    The new menotization system has responded well. We started getting more and more paid reviews as the site gets more and more traffic. I expect this to rise more in the future as the site grows to its full potential. As seen in the profit summary, our profits weren't great since we spent a lot on content, news, etc.

    When we purchased Android-Apps.com the traffic was low. There was a lot of duplicate content and Google really did not like the site. Although the backlinks to the site are amazing so it was still getting great traffic from other sources. Now that we have SEOified the site, its getting the most traffic since we have had the site.     @JonLoeffler We currently have 1 writer who we charge $4 per normal article. We also pay him $15 for app reviews (which we get $50) for each. These are really the only expenses of the site besides the server costs (which is about $50 a month).
