    But seriously . . .

    I wouldn't be too concerned about the amount of views. Concentrate more on quality. For example, you sell farm machinery that nets you $5,000 per sale. You only need a minimal amount of targeted traffic to do quite nicely. So, in my opinion, think instead about this:

    1. Finding out what people what to know.
    2. Telling them some of that in your video.
    3. Creating an effective call to action so they can learn ALL of it.
    4. Creating a landing page that offers them whatever they seek.

    A video needs to stand out, be different, and be an attention grabber.

    The most innovative tactic I saw was someone doing breast massage videos. They had naked women in the videos but since it wasn't created with sexual intent Youtube let the videos run.
    Honestly, the easiest way to rack up views is to have the thumbnail have a beautiful woman (preferably half-naked) in it.

    There are two kinds which get most views

    Entertainment videos like songs, TV Serial, Movies.
    2nd : Love making adult videos.

    I think least category is business videos selling their product.

    Here are some strategies that you can try to increase your YouTube views:

    1) Trending: do some research and see what's hit in the media right now. Make a video related to that as viewers will most likely be typing those keywords in on YouTube.

    2) Social Networking: take advantage of the free social networking services and include it in your marketing activities. There's no harm in throwing out your YouTube videos out in public as I am sure there are people who will click on it. This stage should be a stepping stone to increase views on your videos.

    3) Urgent viewers: uploading a video knowing that viewers would want to search for it on that particular day (or two) will definitely help increase views on your videos. For example, a hit song that recently been released, a particular tv show, movie trailer, or an award ceremony can get you a lot of views. Just keep in mind about copyrighting issues.

    4) Stupidity: people like a good laugh at the stupidest stuff (e.g. falling on ice, jumping off the roof, pranks, etc.).

    5) Misleading title names (NOT RECOMMENDED): highly don't recommend you doing this, but it is an option. A lot of YouTube videos rack up views by placing a misleading title name that gets people clicking on the videos. If you don't make me too obvious, your video won't get deleted. As mentioned, not recommended to do but it works for some.
