I have seen people selling them on forums like this and also on Fiverr.

Want to buy an email list?

    Step 1 - Invent a time machine.

Step 2 - Set your newly invented time machine to 1998.

Step 3 - Purchase the list off your favorite AOL chatroom.

Step 4 - Send out your bulk mail in 1994.

Step 5 - Reap the benefits and repeat.

Newsflash...spamming DOESN'T work anymore. 90% of the emails spent will never get delivered or will filter out to the spam folder. The delivered 10% will land in inactive inbox's or be lost among other emails that won't be read. And even if your email is opened (by luck) I guarantee you no one is going to click on your links. Spamming is NOT effective as it once was. It's also a great way to lose credibility.

    Spamming doesn't. Email marketing does.

The only difference is permission and relevancy.

Sure that's one way to put it, but with correctly executed email marketing you will succeed. Do you think people would bother creating newsletters and opt-in lists if it wouldn't work?

I am not suggesting the latter.
